Hangover No More with a Banana Shake!

This simple shake will help your body recover after a night out that left you hungover.

After a big glass of water, this is definitely the first thing I make the morning after having a night of too much fun. While you should always drink in moderation, remember to help your body balance back out on those few occasions when you drink a bit more than usual.

Bananas are known to calm an upset stomach, but they also help rehydrate your body. Alcohol dehydrates your body, contributing to your yucky hangover symptoms. This shake and plenty of water should get you on the road to recovery.

Plus, bananas also give you a much needed energy boost after your late night out.

How to Make the Miracle Shake:

Blend together:

  • 1 large, ripe banana
  • 1.5 cups milk (soy, almond, or regular)
  • 2 tbs. honey

Drink slowly, allowing your body to absorb the shake.

Adjust the amount of milk to make shake thicker or thinner, depending on your preference. While a room temperature shake might be better on an upset stomach, you can make a frozen version by keeping frozen, unpeeled bananas, wrapped in plastic, available.
